I think that Democracy Now would have gotten it out as well as other independent media. It would not have gotten out until the convention was already over, however. That was the whole point of the "preventive detention" that they did during 2004 in NYC. It worked great there. Not so great this time, and YouTube clearly helped us fight back.

Amy Goodman and two producers were arrested while covering demonstrations at the Republican convention in St. Paul, Minn. Goodman was released after being held for over three hours, but is still waiting to hear when Sharif Abdel Kouddous and Nicole Salazar would be released.
