Darius Thieme at Morningside

On Thursday, December 27th we moved my father, Darius Thieme, into his new home at Morningside of Belmont in Nashville, Tennessee. My father will turn eighty years old this coming July, but he somehow still seems too young at heart to be residing at a retirement community. Fortunately, his new home is less than ten blocks away from his old home and he is still driving and walking to visit all of his old haunts. I am sure that he will be very glad to have visitors, however.

Audrey Parker, a personal friend of mine, has written a book of short reflections and anecdotes from her long, happy, and productive life. Flanking Mrs. Parker in the above photograph, my aunt Diantha Stevenson and I are both holding up copies of Ninety: Stick Around And You'll Get There. My mother, who took the photograph, is a neighbor of Mrs. Parker's down in Panama City, Florida.

I definitely plan to stick around.
